Arno Römmeler, former doctoral student in Professor Dual's group at the Institut for Mechanical Systems received the René-Hornung Prize for his dissertation entitled " Air coupled ultrasonic defect detection in thin walled polymer specimen with Lamb waves"

Dhananjay Deshmukh, doctoral student in Professor Dual's group at the Institute for Mechanical Systems, received a poster prize at SSB+RM.

Alen Pavlic, doctoral student in Prof. Dual's group at the Institute for Mechanical Systems, received the W. Terence Coakley Award 2021 for the best flash-talk presentation at Acoustofluidics 2021 entitled: "Microstreaming and acoustic interaction forces between two particles in a standing wave within a viscous fluid".  He is the fifth award winner in a row of distinguished young researchers. 

Thierry Baasch, former doctoral student in Professor Dual's group at the Institut for Mechanical Systems received the ETH medal award and CHF 2000 prize money for his dissertation "Numerical investigations of acoustic streaming effects". Congratulations!
